PRISONER OF CONSCIENCE follows a Russian journalist as she becomes tangled in the conflict surrounding the 2002 hostage-taking of Moscow’s Dubrovka Theatre, in which forty armed terrorists, almost half of them women, took over nine hundred people hostage, threatening to blow up the building unless the Russian government withdrew their forces from Chechnya.
